Sarah Stewart, a mechanical engineering student at Iowa State, is living her dream of helping to explore the stars as part of the NASA Pathways Internships Program. Stewart has worked alongside astronauts and mission controllers and is gathering data that could inform future manned missions to Mars.

ISU sets annual research funding record, attracts $530.5 million in total external funding
Iowa State University researchers attracted record levels of external, sponsored funding for the fiscal year that ended June 30, topping $300 million for the first time. Overall, Iowa State attracted $530.5 million in external funding during the last fiscal year.
