Alloy could boost jet fighters
The next generation of jet fighter aircraft could fly farther and faster thanks to a new high-strength aluminum alloy prepared at the U.S. Department of Energy's Ames Laboratory.
Bowl ticket sales
The ISU ticket office has sold more than 8,000 tickets for the Dec. 31 EV1.net Houston Bowl game. That number includes 1,000 student ticket purchases.
University veterinarian named
Postville dairy veterinarian Dr. Bruce Leuschen will join Iowa State as university veterinarian March 1. He will service ISU's livestock farms, help teach courses, and coordinate the food animal internship and preceptorship programs.
