Pulitzer-winning journalist Clarence Page will speak at Iowa State Sept 14
Pulitzer Prize-winning, syndicated columnist Clarence Page will present the Chamberlin Lecture at Iowa State University on Wednesday, Sept. 14. "A Campaign Narrative: Why Iowa Matters-or Not," will be at 8 p.m. in the Memorial Union Sun Room. It is free and open to the public. Page won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1989. He has been a columnist and member of the Chicago Tribune's editorial board since July 1984.
Iowa State sociologist, migration researcher assesses the current crisis in Somalia
Thomas Leslie is first Pickard Chilton Professor at Iowa State College of Design
Thomas Leslie, an internationally recognized expert on the history of technology and architecture, has been named the first holder of the Pickard Chilton Professorship in Architecture in the College of Design. Leslie is an award-winning teacher and author, and previously was architect with one of the world's leading design firms. He will be recognized in a campus ceremony Friday, Sept. 9.
