Interest builds in criminal justice program

A new academic program in criminal justice is drawing student interest. Approximately 140 students have declared a major in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in criminology and criminal.

What to do if your dog has separation anxiety

An ISU veterinarian will provide basic information on how to deal with a dog with separation anxiety during a seminar for pet owners on July 25. The seminar, "Velcro Dogs: Basic Prevention and Treatment Suggestions for Separation Anxiety," is free and open to the public.

ISU tornadoes on TV

The History Channel's "Mega Disasters: Windy City Tornado" will feature tornadoes created by Iowa State University's Tornado/Microburst Simulator. The show airs at 8 p.m. Central time on Tuesday, July 11. The show will be rebroadcast at midnight on Wednesday morning, July 12.

ISU faculty among nation's most cited in social psychology textbooks

Two Iowa State psychology professors were among some of the most cited scholars in social psychology textbooks published during 2004 and 2005 -- making ISU one of just five institutions that had at least two scholars in one of the top 30 citation lists during those years -- according to a study printed in the Spring 2006 edition of Dialogue, the official newsletter of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
