As senior veterinarian at the Blank Park Zoo and a clinician at Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine, June Olds is used to having a hectic schedule. On any given day, Olds may work with animals ranging in size from 3 grams up to 1600 kilograms. She also oversees a rotation for senior students in veterinary medicine at ISU. But for Olds, the challenge and unpredictability of working with so many animal species is one of the things she loves most about the job.
