Iowa effectively has two economies, leading to a rural urban divide politically

Dave Swenson, Iowa State associate scientist in economics, says that Iowa actually has two economies, one for metropolitan parts of the state, and one for rural Iowa. That has lead to migration across and outside of Iowa, which has lead to a large divide in political preferences.
