Hundreds of high school students from around the state put their culinary skills to the test on Iowa State’s campus in the 2015 Iowa ProStart Invitational. ISU’s Hospitality Management Program hosted the event which gave teams a chance to represent Iowa in the national competition at Disneyland in April. Teams of students had 1 hour to prepare a three-course meal and were judged on several skills, including sanitation, taste and menu. The event also included a management competition and a career fair for anyone interested in the hospitality industry.
