Initially, Austin Stewart applied for a job at Iowa State to make his parents happy. The Des Moines native was looking to get closer to home, and the job at ISU ended up being a great fit. Stewart teaches in the Art & Visual Culture department, and also is involved in the sustainable environments program. He teaches his students how to work on interdisciplinary projects, and also how to connect their work to larger groups of people. His latest project hopes to use coffee to bring art to the wider Ames community.
