Vet Med students taking care of the animals at the Iowa State Fair

Every year the Iowa State Fair hosts hundreds of animals all over the fairgrounds. But someone needs to care of those animals if they get sick or give birth. So every year, Iowa State Vet Med students volunteer to work for the Fair for 2 weeks taking care of all types of animals. The hours are long, and require working with all types of animals, all around the fairgrounds, and at all times of the day and night. But for the students, it can be a great experience getting used to doing the work they'll be asked to do when they graduate as doctors.
