Iowa business turns to ISU experts for help growing, improving quality

For years, meat processors around the world have come to Iowa State’s Meat Laboratory to learn, grow, and innovate. The classes taught at the Meat Lab have helped these processors improve their operations and their quality, which ultimately improves the customer experience as well. One of these success stories is Tiefenthaler Quality Meats, a family-run specialty butcher shop in Holstein, Iowa. Their partnership with Iowa State has played a key role in their success growing from a small-town meat processor to a nationally recognized business and an award-winning producer.
