NEW MEMBER MEETING FOR ISU SOLAR CAR TEAM IS SEPT. 13

AMES, Iowa -- A new member meeting for Team PrISUm, the Iowa State University solar car team, will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, in 171 Durham.

Last June, Team PrISUm raced the PrISUm Phoenix solar car to a fifth place finish in Sunrayce 99, a solar car race from Washington, D.C., to Orlando, Fla.

"When the race ended, that team was officially done," said Team PrISUm director Nick Mohr. "We are essentially starting from scratch and looking for new members who can add to our success in designing, building and racing a new solar car."

While much of the team effort is focused on the nuts and bolts of designing and building an experimental solar car, Mohr said the team also is very interested in getting the talents of students from across the university, with positions open in outreach, fund raising and business management.
