The showcase will be from 3 5 p.m. in LeBaron Lounge of LeBaron Hall. Visitors may vote for their favorite display from 3 p.m. 4:30 p.m. "This competition allows textile and clothing students to show the many dimensions of their work and of the department," event sponsor Jane Farrell-Beck, university professor of textiles and clothing in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, said. "Anything that can be visualized, from actual clothing to a merchandising plan, is entered." Entries will be judged by JaneAnn Stout, associate dean of families extension; Pat Redlinger, of Natures Touch Jewelry, Ames; Tim McIlrath, associate professor of art and design; and Priscilla Sage, associate professor of art and design. Students can win several awards from the competition. About 200 students, faculty, staff and community residents attend the event every year.
