WOMEN'S WEEK CELEBRATED AT ISU OCT. 5-10
AMES, Iowa -- Scholars, activists, artists and political leaders will highlight Women's Week 1997 at Iowa State University, Oct. 5- 10.
A 23-year-old tradition at Iowa State, Women's Week will focus on the many changes and challenges women face in future years. Among the speakers are Prof. Deirdre McCloskey, a University of Iowa economist who is a male to female transsexual, who had a sex change operation last year, and an artistic activist group called The Guerrilla Girls.
All events are in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union, unless otherwise noted. All events are free and open to the public.
