ISU EMPLOYEE INJURED IN TRACTOR ACCIDENT TUESDAY
AMES, Iowa -- Dean Isaacson, an animal caretaker and supervisor at Iowa State University's Animal Resource Station, is listed in good condition at Mary Greeley Medical Center today (July 29) following injuries suffered in a tractor accident this morning.
Isaacson, 34, was injured when he was run over by an ISU tractor at 10:05 a.m. at the Animal Resource Station, located south of Ames on U.S. Highway 69. The tractor was driven by Ben Freestone, 23, a student employee.
Isaacson was standing next to the tractor talking to Freestone when the tractor lurched forward, catching Isaacson's foot and rolling over part of his leg and torso.
The Animal Resource Station houses livestock and other animals used in teaching and research at ISU.
