HELP CENTER FOR STUDENTS OPENED JAN. 11-12AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State students with questions about the new semester can get answers at a Help Center this Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 11 and 12). The center will be located in 210 Beardshear and office hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
In its second year of operation, the ISU Help Center focuses on assisting new Iowa State students, but also offers assistance to any student with beginning-of-the-semester questions. The center will be staffed by personnel from the Registrar's Office, Student Financial Aid, Dean of Students and Parking Systems.
Several other Iowa State offices will be open during Help Center hours, including the Treasurers Office and Accounts Receivable, 122 Beardshear; Computation Center and Telecommunications, Durham Building; ISUCard services, Memorial Union Northwest Lounge; and Residence Department, 1215 Friley.
Student Health Services will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. It also will be open for emergency care from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The University Book Store will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Free parking along Morrill Road will be available for students and parents during help center hours.
