AMES, Iowa -- Extension personnel from 24 counties will visit the Iowa State campus April 3-5 as part of the university's Road Scholars program.
Road Scholars traditionally involves groups of new Iowa State faculty and staff touring an area of the state with President Martin Jischke or other university officials. This time, however, Road Scholars will bring new extension county directors, field specialists and media specialists to campus to meet with faculty and staff in Iowa State colleges and research centers.
The schedule for the extension visit to campus is below.
Thursday, April 3, 1997
7 - 8:30 p.m.: Reception hosted by Extension Administration, Gateway/Holiday Inn
Friday, April 4
7:15 - 7:45 a.m.: Mini tour of the campus with President Jischke
7:45 - 9:15 a.m.: Breakfast and visit to the College of Agriculture
9:30 - 10:30 a.m.: Visit to College of Family Consumer Sciences
10:45 a.m. - noon: Visit to Library and Computation Center
12:15 - 1:45 p.m.: Lunch with Student Affairs staff, Towers Residence Hall
2 - 3:30 p.m.: Visit to Colleges of Design and Education
3:45 - 4:45 p.m.: Visit to Ames Lab and IPRT
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Reception at The Knoll
7 - 8:30 p.m.: Dinner at Brunnier Gallery, Scheman Building
Saturday, April 5
7:30 - 9 a.m.: Breakfast and visit to the College of Veterinary Medicine
9:15 - 10:15 a.m.: Visit to College of LAS leadership retreat, Scheman
10:30 a.m. - noon: Visit to Colleges of Business & Engineering
12:15 -12:30 p.m.: Walk through the Lied Recreation Center
12:45 - 2 p.m.: Lunch at the Reiman Gardens
