SECTION OF HABER ROAD CLOSED FOUR DAYS FOR UTILITY WORK

AMES, Iowa -- A short stretch of Haber Road on the Iowa State University campus will close at noon Sunday, Oct. 13, and remain closed through the early evening Wednesday, Oct. 16. An electrical line is being extended to the east under Haber Road. The section of Haber Road affected is the very southern end, from Sixth Street, north to the east entrance of staff parking lot 41.

North- and south-bound small vehicle traffic on Haber Road using the Haber Road underpass will be detoured through lot 41. Signs will mark the detour.

Semi trucks and other large trucks that need to reach Haber Road locations north of the Haber Road underpass are asked to access that area via Stange Road and 13th Street.

Coal, ash and limestone trucks that need to reach the ISU coal yard or power plant will be diverted west on Elwood Drive to Wallace Road and then back to Sixth Street. Sixth Street will remain open during the utility work.
