QUICK LINKS Today's News News releases ISU homepage NEWS RELEASE 03-29-02 Contacts: Steve Sullivan, News Service, (515) 294-3720 ISU DESIGN PROFESSORS RECEIVE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE GRANT AMES, Iowa -- Two Iowa State University professors have received an $80,000 grant from the National Park Service for a project at one of the country's most popular recreation areas. Heidi Hohmann, assistant professor of landscape architecture, received the grant for a project at Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, Okla. She will work on the project with Tim Keller, chair and professor of landscape architecture. Hohmann and Keller will develop a preservation plan for a 900-acre historic district within the recreation area. The district features natural waterways and mineral springs interspersed with historic structures dating to the 1930s.
