HOWARD R. GREEN COMPANY SPONSORS ISU GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP
AMES, Iowa -- The Howard R. Green Company of Cedar Rapids will sponsor a new graduate research assistantship at Iowa State University.
Howard R. Green Company is an architectural, engineering and technical consulting firm with headquarters in Cedar Rapids. The assistantship program will be for graduate students in transportation. Students will be known as "Green Scholars."
The assistantship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, past work and references. Green Scholars will work on a transportation-related research project at the Center for Transportation Research and Education. The first recipient will be selected soon.
"We are committed to supporting technical education at all levels, and we want to encourage students to focus in the field of transportation," said Tom Maze, head of transportation services for Howard R. Green and a former Iowa State professor of civil engineering.
