ISU PROFESSOR SEEKS BLENDED FAMILIES
AMES, Iowa -- Successful blended families are being sought for an Iowa State University research project.
Marcia Michaels, assistant professor of human development and family studies, is conducting the blended families research. Specifically, Michaels is seeking adults who have been in a successful remarriage for at least five years and have at least one child from a previous marriage. At least one of the adults should be willing to be interviewed for the project.
The goal of the research is to determine the factors that lead to successful family formation and healthy family relationships, said Michaels. Most research on blended families has focused on their problems rather than their successes.
Interested families can contact Michaels at (515) 294-8439 or
marciam@iastate.edu.
