Olson was a temporary instructor in curriculum and instruction for seven years before assuming her new job. "I plan to enhance the lines of communications among the various entities for teacher education across campus," Olson said. "It's vital that students receive accurate, consistent communications." Olson will inform teacher education students about the need to take the Praxis I and II exams. Due to new Iowa legislative measures, students now must take the Praxis I to gain admittance into the teacher ed program and, then, take the Praxis II exam before they actually receive their teaching licenses.
