PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES EXPECTED ON CAMPUS IN MID-JANUARY
AMES, Iowa The committee working on the search for Iowa State
University's next president will continue to evaluate prospects in closed
meetings over the next several weeks.
The committee anticipates bringing final candidates for the Iowa State
presidency to campus for interviews in mid-January, said Benjamin Allen,
chair of the Presidential Search and Screen Advisory Committee and dean of
the College of Business.
Former ISU President Martin Jischke left Iowa State in August to become
president of Purdue University. Richard Seagrave, distinguished professor
of chemical engineering, is serving as interim president.
