Keynote speaker will be Kathleen Lodl, Extension Specialist, 4-H Youth Development, at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Her speech, "Building Character in Young People," will be at 9 a.m. in MacKay Auditorium on Iowa States campus. Lodl is co-chair of Nebraskas CHARACTER COUNTS! Team. This program teaches trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, fairness, caring and citizenship to youths. Workshop participants will also select two morning and two afternoon small-group sessions. Session topics will be on soy products and taste, stress on todays teens, menopause issues, careers in FCS, textile and fashion trends, and healthy ways to eat out.
