ISU BUSINESS ALUM TO SERVE AS EXECUTIVE-IN-RESIDENCE

AMES, Iowa -- C. Richard Stark, Jr., president of Iowa Commodities, Inc. and chairman of First American Bank Group, both based in Fort Dodge, will serve as Executive-In-Residence for Iowa State University’s College of Business.

Stark, a native of Webster City who graduated from Iowa State in 1971 with a degree in industrial administration, will be on campus March 7-8. He is an expert on agricultural commodities, who has been a member of the Chicago Board of Trade for 20 years, including a stint as its director.

He will participate in a public forum at 10 a.m. March 8 in Room 205 Carver Hall. The topic is: "From business student to the Chicago Board of Trade to president of a multi-bank holding company; the entrepreneurial endeavors of C. Richard Stark."

Stark will also meet with finance graduate and undergraduate students during his visit. He will speak on ag markets, management of financial institutions and on commodity trading issues. He will also meet with faculty and student business clubs.

The College of Business initiated the Executive-In-Residence program in the Fall 1995. The program is a bridge for linking theory and research with practice. The program brings senior-level executives to campus who represent the gamut of programs offered.
