The SBDC is based at Iowa State University. Mike Thompson, executive director of Iowa Mediation Services Inc., will present "A Hands On Guide to Conflict Resolution and Negotiation." Thompson will discuss effective team building to maximize productivity and harness conflict, hands-on techniques for managing conflict, and effective negotiating tools. For the past 25 years, Thompson has worked as a mediator, facilitator and arbitrator. The Family Business Forum provides information and discussion opportunities for family members managing Iowa companies. The cost of the forum is $249 per family.
