Bill Gallus, an Iowa State University professor of geological and atmospheric sciences, will be featured on the Science Channel's "Against the Elements" show this week. He'll show viewers how a research team led by Partha Sarkar, a professor of aerospace engineering, is using Iowa State's Tornado/Microburst Simulator to study the forces that storms exert on homes and buildings. The show airs four times this week: at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Central Wednesday, Feb. 18; at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19; and at 2 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20. A clip featuring Gallus is on the show's Web site.
