AMES, Iowa - Noted author, coach and lecturer Charles Staley will demonstrate effective weight training techniques and explain the most practical and effective training methods during a seminar at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Lied Recreation Center on the ISU campus.
Staley's techniques are designed so people will have faster, safer workouts that produce better results.
The workshop is $25 for members of the ISU Weight club. For non-members, the price is $50 and pre-registration is highly recommended.
Staley has appeared on the NBC-TV "Today" program and the CBS-TV "Early Show," and has written articles for Muscle and Fitness and Men's Health magazines and others.
"We are very excited to have Charles Staley coming to address our club and members of the community," said Conor Hall, treasurer of the ISU Weight Club. "He is a leader in the field of weight training and all of us, from beginners to experienced weight lifters, will benefit."
Staley's presentation will continue into the afternoon with the training session covering a wide range of topics, from strength training to body building to sports performance to fat loss techniques.
