AMES, Iowa -- Proposals submitted by four food service management organizations bidding to operate Iowa State's food service program will be available for review, beginning Jan. 9.
The proposals, except for proprietary information, will be available for review at Iowa State's Administrative Services Building. Persons interested in reviewing the proposals should contact Cory Harms, assistant director of purchasing, (515) 294-2591, for an appointment.
ISU Dining, which currently manages food services, has submitted a proposal. The other three bids were submitted by companies that provide food services on other campuses: ARAMARK Campus Services, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.; the Chartwells Division of Compass Group USA Inc., Charlotte, N.C.; and Sodexho Operations, L.L.C., Williamsburg, Va.
An advisory committee is reviewing the proposals and will make recommendations to Vice President for Business and Finance Warren Madden and Vice President for Student Affairs Tom Hill.
